The company that supplies the machinery for artificial intelligence
NVIDIA Corporation designs the processors, networking equipment, complete systems and software that other companies use to build and run artificial-intelligence systems. Its customers are mainly the large data-center operators and cloud providers that need to connect thousands of processors into fast, reliable clusters. NVIDIA designs its chips but hires specialized outside factories to make them, a model known as fabless. It earns money by selling not just individual accelerators but bundles of computing hardware, networking, developer tools and support. Data Center now accounts for most of NVIDIA's revenue, while gaming and professional graphics broaden the business but are much smaller.
