A can of LaCroix sparkling water in a supermarket fridge is probably the most familiar sign of National Beverage. LaCroix is its most significant brand, alongside soft drinks such as Faygo. It sells them by the case to supermarkets, club stores and other retailers across the United States. It earns money on the gap between what retailers pay for a branded case and what the cans, bottles and ingredients inside it cost. It competes with much larger rivals such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo by having its own teams launch new flavors and packaging quickly, which it says keeps development costs low.
