An airliner engine has to keep spinning through intense heat and stress, flight after flight. If you have flown recently, parts of that engine may have started as metal made by ATI. The company turns nickel, titanium and other specialty metals into alloys (engineered metal blends), powders and finished parts. Its main business sells most of them directly to a short list of engine and aircraft makers, among them GE Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing and Airbus. ATI also supplies corrosion-resistant alloys for energy equipment, such as deep offshore wells.
