Revenue was $11.54 billion in the quarter ended 2026-06-27, up 50% year over year, while operating income was $1.99 billion.

Issuer-reported free cash flow was $1.56 billion from $2.37 billion of operating cash flow and $808 million of reported capital expenditures (capex).

Cash and cash equivalents were $5.09 billion, short-term investments were $8.03 billion, current long-term debt was $875 million and noncurrent long-term debt was $2.35 billion.

The key operating issue is weaker data-center demand or pricing. Because Data Center is AMD's largest disclosed profit engine, weaker demand or pricing could reduce revenue and operating income, then weaken consolidated cash generation.

The central financial test is whether the billions spent on products, software, acquisitions, AI infrastructure and customer agreements produce enough future profit and cash to justify their cost. AMD has the resources to invest; the unresolved question is what shareholders receive in return.

AMD designs high-performance computing products for cloud and artificial-intelligence infrastructure, client computers, gaming systems and embedded applications. Its portfolio combines central processing units (CPUs), graphics processing units (GPUs), networking products, adaptive and embedded processors, and software support. These products help customers process data, run applications, accelerate AI workloads and connect computing systems.

AMD reports three operating segments. Data Center serves server, cloud and AI-infrastructure demand. Client and Gaming serves desktop and notebook computers, gamers, creators, consumers and enterprises. Embedded serves embedded and specialized computing applications.

In the quarter ended 2026-06-27, Data Center generated $6.72 billion of revenue, Client and Gaming generated $3.84 billion, and Embedded generated $977 million. Together, these three segment figures equal the group's $11.54 billion of quarterly revenue.

AMD is an asset-light semiconductor designer: it develops the technology and products but uses third-party companies for wafer production, assembly, testing and packaging. The latest annual filing identifies Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, United Microelectronics Corporation and Samsung Electronics among its manufacturing partners, together with Asia-Pacific assembly, test, mark and packaging partners. This structure gives AMD access to specialized production capacity. It also makes product availability, manufacturing coordination and supplier execution important to its operating model.

AMD's revenue depends on customers adopting its computing products across several end markets, while its production model depends on third-party manufacturing and packaging capacity. The current segment mix is led by Data Center, but the business also has meaningful Client and Gaming and Embedded operations that broaden the sources of demand and operating income.
