The door panel of a car or a part of a farm machine may have started as a giant roll of steel. Worthington Steel stands between the mills that make those rolls and the factories that use them. It buys these coils, mainly from North American mills, and cuts them to the exact thickness, width, shape and surface each customer orders. Its customers work in cars, heavy trucks, farming, construction and energy. In June 2026 it bought control of Klöckner & Co, a German metals group, making the company far larger.
